Through a character called Gabe, kids learn that the Bible is God’s way of talking to us. Young readers are also taught that God reveals himself in nature. This is an important foundation for equipping kids to defend their belief when God’s existence is challenged.

The author stresses that while we can learn about God from nature there are some important ways he reveals himself in His word.

The book also reflects on how the Old Testament pointed to Jesus.

It also solidifies the deity of Jesus.

“Jesus acted like God and talked like God because He is God!”

There are also some fun facts for kids to digest including the Holy Spirit’s role in the creation of the Bible and that it was written down in many languages but still has not lost the essential message.

“The Bible has been copied many times and into many languages, but God has always protected its message.”

The book reassures kids that there are promises for them in the Bible. Promises of God’s love and salvation. It also introduces them to the truth that the Bible helps us live a life that pleases God and that elements of the Bible can protect us from sin and things that can harm us.

Yet, it also encourages kids to ask for help if there are parts of the Bible they don’t understand.

Gabe proves to be a wise and helpful guide through the lesson about the scriptures.

I would recommend this book for kids six and up.
